PHS provide computer disposal and recycling services to ensure the secure destruction of confidential data.

Discarded business plans, financial reports, contracts and invoices are items you wouldn't want falling into the wrong hands. And they're all on your hard drive.

We offer safe destruction of all computers, IT hardware and data as well as all electrical office equipment, including mobile phones, fax machines, photocopiers and similar products.

Here's a quick summary of the recycling process:

• We collect your old equipment in unmarked vehicles, so nobody knows what's been collected.
  
• Every item is listed and a receipt issued.
  
• Resaleable items are taken out, data removed, refurbished and sold with your permission.
  
• Unsaleable items and computer parts such as hard drives carrying sensitive data are crushed into small fragments to ensure the destruction of all data. The pieces are separated into various metals and plastics for recycling. VDU screens are degassed and dismantled for recycling.
  
• Finally, we issue a certificate of destruction.

Why can't I give my computer away?

Our electronic product and computer disposal service is approved by FACT (Federation Against Copyright Theft), the Data Protection Registrar and we're licensed by the Environment Agency.
